    Since 2008 Young Stracke All-Stars have worked to bring the rich legacy of Chicago folk music to young people across the city. The band is named after Win Stracke, television star, musician and founder of the Old Town School of Folk Music. In the liner notes to the album, Grammy winner and children’s folk music pioneer Ella Jenkins writes, “Win Stracke was a big man with a beautiful booming voice... We were all inspired by him... I am so glad that the Young Stracke All-Stars are learning about him and using their voices to pass along his spirit.”
